Cancellation and Substitution Policy
Annual Meeting Cancellation/ Refund Policy
The deadline for refund requests (mailed and emailed) is Wednesday, October 2.
- After the above deadline, no refunds of any type, including no-shows, are given. A registration cancellation processing fee is deducted from all refunds ($15 for students and $30 for members and nonmembers).
- Guests are not issued refunds.

Bourne, MA 02532 - Contact SfN's housing company, Convention Management Resources (CMR) via email to cancel hotel reservations and to avoid no-show charges.
SfN must receive the registrant's original badge before it can process a registration cancellation. Once the original badge is received in the office, the registrant will receive an email confirmation of the cancellation. The badge must be received by Wednesday, October 2. Refunds will not be issued for incorrect registration categories. If you choose to register under another category before membership verification, the difference will not be refunded to you. No exceptions. If you are uncertain about your membership status, contact membership@sfn.org.

If you are scheduled to present an abstract at the annual meeting, please note that canceling your registration does not cancel your abstract presentation. To notify SfN that you will not be presenting your abstract, submit a request to change the status of your abstract presentation via the Abstract Withdrawal/UTA Site.
Substitutions
It is permitted for a meeting registrant to have a substitute. If the substitute's registration fee is less than the original registrant's, the difference will be refunded. If the substitute's registration fee is more, the registration will be held until the balance is paid and the original registrant submits the substitute's contact information with written request for substitution.
Deadline for substitution requests: Wednesday, October 2. No substitution requests are processed on-site and refunds will not be issued for no-shows.

Workshops Cancellation/ Refund Policy
All workshop refund requests (mailed and emailed) are due no later than Wednesday, October 2.
After the above deadline, no refunds of any type, including no-shows, will be issued. A registration cancellation processing fee of 5 percent is deducted from all workshop refunds.
