Registration Fees

Neuroscience 2023 will be held November 11-15 in Washington, D.C. SfN will also offer a sampling of annual meeting content virtually, including the opportunity for virtual posters. Learn more about the Neuroscience 2023 Virtual Component.

Virtual Component registration fees are 50% of the cost of Neuroscience 2023 in-person registration (either advance or regular registration) in all member and non-member categories.

SfN members and nonmembers are eligible to register and secure housing.

Registration Fees

To receive member rates, SfN membership must be current and in good standing at the time of registering for the annual meeting. Membership status will be verified. Fees vary based on membership categories and registration options. Refunds will not be issued for incorrect registration categories. If you choose to register under another category before your membership status is verified, the difference will not be refunded to you. No exceptions. If you are uncertain about your membership status, contact membership@sfn.org or call (202) 962-4911.

Regular Registration

Opens October 3 at midnight EDT and continues through the annual meeting

Accepted Forms of Payment: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and checks or money orders in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. bank made payable to the Society for Neuroscience.

*Virtual Component Fees: Registration fees for the Virtual Component of Neuroscience 2023 are 50% of the cost of Neuroscience 2023 in-person registration (either advance or regular registration) in all member and non-member categories. Note: The Short Course will not be offered virtually.

Place Your Registration on Hold for Organization or Company Payment

The "Registration on Hold" option is available for online credit card payments only. If your organization or company is paying for your registration, start the registration process and select this option to place the registration on hold until SfN receives payment. An email will be sent to you and the payer with a link allowing the payer to pay for the registration.

For the advance registration fee to apply, payment must be received by the advance registration deadline: Monday, October 2, 11:59 p.m. EDT. After this date, the regular registration fee will apply.

Please Note:

  • Your registration is not complete until SfN receives payment, and housing reservation access will not be permitted until payment has been made.

Accessing Scientific Program Content

As part of our commitment to environmental stewardship and resource conservation, the Society has enhanced its digital offerings for accessing scientific program content. All Neuroscience 2023 program information will be accessible free of charge via the following methods:

  • Neuroscience 2023 Mobile App: The meeting app will be available as a free download on iOS and Android devices. The app includes schedule features, detailed map views, and exhibitor search functionality. This tool will be available in the fall.
  • Neuroscience Meeting Planner (NMP): The NMP lists all program content and allows you to build your schedule before you arrive in Washington, D.C.  
  • Annual Meeting Website: A digital version of the final Program & Exhibit Guide will be available online prior to the meeting.
