Neuroscience 2024 Returns to Chicago
The largest neuroscience meeting in the world, Neuroscience 2024, returns October 5–9 to Chicago.
With attendee feedback, the annual meeting continues to offer new programming to meet the varied interests of the neuroscience community. One example is the return of the Ask Anything Sessions. These informal panel sessions allow students and early career scientists to ask questions and discuss topics related to scientific training and career development.
After debuting at last year’s annual meeting, the Product Theater will be back in Chicago. This venue in the Exhibit Hall offer exhibitors a platform to showcase their organization’s offerings to an audience of up to 150 people.
The Neuroscience 2024 Virtual Component makes much of the annual meeting accessible to those unable to travel to Chicago. Abstract presenters can upload their posters to the virtual component platform for viewing before the in-person meeting begins. All featured and special lectures will be livestreamed on the virtual component, with virtual attendees able to participate in the live Q&A for each livestreamed session. Posters and lecture recordings will remain viewable for 30 days after the in-person programming ends.
Speaking of lectures, the Dialogues Between Neuroscience and Society Lecture returns with a presentation by Susan Magsamen, author of the bestselling book Your Brain on Art: How the Arts Transform Us. Her presentation will explore the science of neuroaesthetics, the study of how the arts and aesthetic experiences measurably change the brain and body. Learn more about Magsamen’s lecture and all the other lectures.
