High School Students

High school students may attend the annual meeting in the presence of a chaperone with a maximum of four students per chaperone and must first be approved by the Meeting Operations Department.

To request approval, send an email to hsreg@sfn.org expressing your interest. The email application may be submitted by teachers or by parents who would like to allow their high school student(s) to attend the annual meeting. Please include the chaperone’s name, email and mailing address with application.

Once the application has been reviewed, the applicant will be contacted by SfN.

Chaperones/teachers who are non-scientific and are attending the meeting solely to accompany their students will be charged the same rates as the students. Registration fees will be collected through the high school student website in one payment. The fees are $25 for one day or $105 for the week. The chaperone/teacher is responsible for collecting the payments for the group.

Registration will open in August.

Individuals age 17 and under will only be permitted to attend the annual meeting with adult supervision, and badges will not be issued to these individuals. Students registered as part of a high school group are an exception to this rule and should follow the high school registration guidelines above.

Note that all guardians or chaperones must attest that all eligible children are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 in accordance with the policies identified for attendees.
