Awardees Selected to Present their Research at the 43rd Japanese Neuroscience Society Annual Meeting
Washington, D.C. — Two members of the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) have been selected from a highly competitive applicant pool to attend to the 43rd Japan Neuroscience Society (JNS) Meeting from July 29 – August 1, 2020. The two PhD candidates or postdoctoral fellows, with a U.S., Canadian, or Mexican citizenship or permanent residency, and first authors of their abstract to be presented at the Meeting, were chosen based on the scientific merit of their submitted abstract, academic and research achievements and productivity, and drive to advance their career goals.
The awardees are:
- Keisuke Kaneko, The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- Sai Sun, PhD, California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, California
The JNS Travel Award is part of a partnership SfN has with JNS. Each organization provides travel awards for graduate students who have reached PhD candidacy and/or postdoctoral fellows to attend their respective meetings. SfN offers up to five travel awards for participation in the JNS Meeting which takes place annually.
