SfN Awarded 2018 ASAE Power of A Gold Award for BrainFacts.org
The Society of Neuroscience has been awarded a 2018 American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Power of A Gold Award for BrainFacts.org, SfN’s public education website.
ASAE’s Power of A (association) Awards, the industry’s highest honor, recognize the association community’s valuable contributions on the local, national and global levels.
Made possible by founding partners The Kavli Foundation, The Gatbsy Charitable Trust, The Wellcome Trust, The Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research, The Brain Initiative Alliance and SfN, BrainFacts.org engages the public in dialogue about brain research, and dispels common neuromyths.
BrainFacts.org presents information about the brain “in a manner that is exciting, innovative, and user-friendly,” according to ASAE. “Indicators of the site’s reach have grown consistently each year, providing BrainFacts.org with a strong global statement. BrainFacts.org is capitalizing on its momentum by refining and implementing strategies to engage harder‐to‐reach international audiences so that it is accessible from any computer or device with access to the internet.”
