Call for Nominations: Editor-in-Chief, BrainFacts.org
The SfN Council has appointed a Search Committee to recommend candidates to serve as the next Editor-in-Chief (EiC) for BrainFacts.org. Serving a three-year appointment, the individual will be the third Editor-in-Chief, following John Morrison and Nicholas Spitzer. The EiC’s term will begin January 1, 2019, after a period of transition with Dr. Morrison.
We write today to solicit nominations from SfN’s membership for the BrainFacts.org EiC position. Nominations, or self-nominations, should be submitted by email to the Executive Director of the Society, Marty Saggese by March 29, 2018, at msaggese-eicsearch@sfn.org. Please include a brief statement of why you are nominating this individual. All of those nominated will subsequently be invited to formally apply for the position if interested. The Search Committee plans to conduct interviews with a shortlist of top candidates between mid- May and early June, with an appointment expected to be confirmed by the SfN Council in August.
