Hans-Joachim Pflüger
Hans-Joachim Pflüger, Jochen, passed away January 25, 2022. In addition to a research career as Professor of neurobiology and functional neuroanatomy at the The Free University of Berlin, Jochen volunteered his time and commitment during a significant part of his career in leadership roles for numerous European associations, including as President of the German Neuroscience Society and Treasurer of the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies.
Jochen was a strong proponent for supporting the next generation of neuroscientists with opportunities for training and career development, specifically in areas of the world with limited resources.
