SfN Submits Letter to Australian Government in Support of Animal Research
Feb 05, 2016
SfN values working with its global partners to voice support for the ethical use of animals in research. SfN's Committee on Animals in Research Chair Mar Sanchez submitted a letter to the Australian Senate Standing Committee on Environment and Communications to oppose a bill that would ban the importation of captivity-bred nonhuman primates. This ban would have disastrous consequences for Australia’s ability to conduct biomedical research critical for health advances.
