  • Image of a slide that explains how SARS-CoV-2 affects the nervous system. "80% of people with COVID-19 develop neurological symptoms. Both central and peripheral nervous systems are impacted. This suggest SARS-CoV-2 is capable of invading the nervous system. Most studies to assess this have focused on the nerves in the nose responsible for smell. There are other nerves in the nose/body that could be infected but have not been studied.
